I think it's far to say that Trump's "process" is now obvious.

Enough crypto, and every issue drops away. Even tariffs, I'd guess, if Jabba believes enough crypto tribute has been paid...for today.

the only emergency that actually exists is trumps attempt to implement project 2025 and his insane power grab. We must protect our elections, gerrymander to counter the republican nazi effort at stealing election outcomes, and when we attain the majority in Congress, stop him dead in his tracks.

Excellent work again. Since I am poor enough that I rarely order anything these days beyond my cacao nibs (which I have already recognized will have to be given up soon), I didn’t really think long and hard about the announcement.

I’m worrying more about when the Mexican tariffs will finally hit food. I noticed that prices have gone up about 20% on some items already. Not sure why. Walmart has also dropped its starting hourly wages by almost $2/ hour. If they are going to be forced to eat tariffs, they will drop back down towards minimum wage.

Well, so much for ordering my aviation books and magazines from the UK after the end of the month. 🙄

RB,

I'd guess that we'll soon see entire industries based on bypassing tariffs, methods both legal and...Trumpy.

(Am I already late on this?)

I sure hope so. One of my hobbies is aviation/aerospace, and the UK and Japan* put out the best books. I'd rather have hardcopy books than ebooks, but needs must as our British cousins say.

I'm no fan of businesses like Temu, but this will out wipe businesses both here and in China. The tariffs could make stores like Dollar Tree obsolete.

*Google Translate is great for this.
