Glass half full or empty? Weed or Flower? Well, in addition to being a beautiful, no-care-required flower, and its leaves a salad source, and in additional to all of its amazing adaptability you've pointed out - - -

Dandelions are medicinal. Their roots can be used as diuretics. So that can help with edema.

And their sap can be used to make tires (American spelling).

Once upon a time, I lawn mowed around a dandelion, wondering what it would do, if left unchecked. It grew to a height above my fig tree, even though it was overshadowed by one of my pecan trees. It even developed a bark, around its - well, stem wouldn't be accurate. I'd say it outright developed a trunk.

Just one lonely yellow flower, at the top. But it didn't go to seed, for the longest time. Tough guy that it was! Yeah to dandelions!
