Thank you!

I made an empowering music mix for those headed to one of the 2,500+ rallies tomorrow — and a link to find them. Plus, some useful tips for all the peaceful protesters! Give a SHARE and spread the word!

Thanks for all the practical advice here. Lori.

Instead of the benign blueness of where I live, we'll be in a purple/red state this weekend. So I'll be in protesting in a place that I don't know all that well. (But definitely out there!) So this advice is particularly apt.

And let me add my voice to the chorus of well-wishing for feeling better🙏.

Very kind John, thank you, though I’m a little embarrassed by how often you have wished me well since we ‘met’.

Stay safe this weekend, my friend. 🙏

This information is valuable above the mechanics of attending a protest because you remind us to take care of our-selves as human beings, with very real needs for centering and calmness.

Many of us haven't ventured into peaceful protesting, an unfamiliar event, the details of preparation and mental awareness during a protest are invaluable. Thank you!

Yeah...I was thinking about just showing up and doing my thing. Most importantly to do my part to show America that we have huge numbers on our side. Your advice is well taken. And because of the respect I have for your written advice, I can't help but wonder what you think the worst case scenario might be?

I hope you are well. Appendicitis isn’t something to fool around with I’m sure you know. You have readied us, now please care for yourself. Thank you for all the time and research that went into preparing this outline to allow us to walk into this No Kings Day with clear eyes that will help us that day. I had no idea of all the ways to be safe and didn’t take any precautions at the first No Kings Day. In fact I was a little unnerved when I looked up and a woman had been either photographing me or taping, after I had been warned not to photograph anyone without their permission. I just stared with slitted eyes until she stopped and turned away. I guess the first one wasn’t as charged as this one will be. Sending this valuable information to my sister and friend who I will attend the protest with now. Having the information on how to remain safe is a little scary. I was more comfortable when I was in the dark but comfort doesn’t equal safety. Thank you, again, Lori. Really.

Jeezuz! Really? While it's good advice it really overkill. It creates more fear than it's meant to allay.

Make a sign, protest quietly and commit to memory legal aide or a family phone # . Basics. Unless you are in a big city this litany isn't needed.

Thinking about serving as a marshall. Obviously that pulls in a different direction (eg need to use signal during rally). Thoughts on that?
