I fear that these actions will be interpreted and acted upon by Trump's cultists (including elected GOP) EXACTLY as he intends...

Once, because "Trump said so",

And once to "own the (blue state) libs."

And these are both things that Trump will never even have to ask twice.

After all, red states citizens willingly died in mass after Trump said "Covid is a hoax."

More red state citizens filled mass graves after Trump said, "Vaccines are dangerous", so they seemingly chose death over dishonoring Trump.

And more red state citizens are risking the lives of every child in their families by refusing to obtain vaccines for easily preventable childhood diseases, simply and specifically because Trump chose RFK, Jr. to tell them to do so.

And how many red state citizens died when floods and storms took their homes, and Trump had by then ruined all the emergency readiness and effectiveness of FEMA?

And now, Trump will be honoring them for their sacrifices by hunting down "blue state libs" and those in "majority Black cities", and almost certainly with the assistance of military forces.

Something tells me Trump cultists will be very happy to be so recognized for all the unnecessary suffering and death Trump has placed in their lives by now focusing on the TRUE ENEMY of mankind:

Anyone who isn't exactly like them.

You’ve captured something essential in addressing the way Trump’s ecosystem doesn’t need formal commands to act in lockstep. It moves because his supporters, his appointees, and many elected Republicans already know the part they’re expected to play. That’s one of the things that makes him β€” this β€” so dangerous.

You’re right to trace this back to Covid, to vaccines, to FEMA, to the slow dismantling of systems meant to protect people. It’s the same underlying pattern: loyalty is shown not just by supporting Trump, but by willingly absorbing harm, and now, as you’ve said, by turning that harm outward.

Thank you, as ever, for spelling this out. It’s a hard thing to sit with, but it’s important that more people see it.

Lori-thank you for being perceptive and so clever to see this Executive Order for exactly what it portends. I’m grateful to you. I’ll forward this in hopes that the knowledge is power for consensus and preemptive action locally.

Thank you for your kind words, Patricia β€” I’m fortunate to be intuitively guided on where to look, and to have tools that do the heavy lifting of analysing and modeling what’s unfolding. But I really want to commend you β€” first, for reading through such a long and exacting post (no small feat, especially amidst all the ongoing β€˜noise’), and more importantly, for your discernment in recognising its significance, and your willingness to take action. That kind of thoughtful engagement is exactly what we need more of right now! Thank you for forwarding it on.

He will start the fire. People have to understand what we are dealing with. It’s imbedded in both parties now. The constitution is trash to them all.

Sadly, it seems so, Laura.

Lori, Thank you for this article! My husband is a catastrophic planner for California. I told him something big is gonna happen and his unit gets blamed.... And this is 1 of the reasons why.

This is another hideous power grab by tRump. It will fail because he has no idea how to run this.

Permission to send your important articles to the governors of all those states? They’re kinda used to hearing from me now anyway ;-)

He wants ALL of the power and none of the blame. It’s terrifying to me that the AI technology we have now is being used to help Trump be king forever. He will rewrite voting laws and shift it to make sure he β€œwins” or maybe he’ll just rid elections forever. I don’t see him giving it up.. ever. Unless we force him to….πŸ€”

Good grief. Paranoia much?

Totally fair to be sceptical, Sue. But paranoia is seeing threats that aren’t there, and I’m pointing to threats that are β€” quiet ones, written into policy deadlines and shifts in governance. If you’re up for it, I’d love to walk through what’s actually written in the Executive Orders and hear what you think once you’ve seen the structure.

I feel that, starting today, no Dem will EVER be called paranoid again...

The far more accurate term is "prescient".

I am trying "prescient" on for size. It may be a bit of a generous fit for me, but I like it nonetheless. 😊

Sue,

I can't speak for Lori, but I'm paranoia(sic) as frug!

After all, everything I wrote almost three years ago (before I ever heard of Project 2025) has come true with the proverbial "vengeance", shaming all our fears with a FAR more destructive reality:

"β€œThou Shall Give Birth, and God Shall Raise Up a Righteous Army!”

So Sayeth the Six Disciples, with Alito and Thomas Leading the Chorus"

(Not the same intended immediate result as Lori's critically urgent current topic, but certainly the same underlying methods and strategies for an identically non-democratic goal of subjugation through control.)
